Tourism Minister Kumari Selja has called for setting up State-level Monitoring Committee for speedy implementation of tourism projects. Inaugurating a regional conference of East and North East Tourism Ministers in Gangtok on Sunday, she said that such committees should not only monitor but also update Union Tourism Ministry about this.<br/> <br/>The Minister said that any tourist amenity should essentially have proper water supply, electricity, well maintained approach road and proper landscaping. Ms. Selja said her Ministry has identified 29 sites, which include three in East and Northeast Regions for development of mega tourism destination in the country of which 21 projects has already been sanctioned.<br/>
