Union petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday said in Bhubaneswar that the list prepared by concerned State for implementation of the Ujjwala Scheme will be given top priority. <br/>He said though the Centre has lists of BPL families of all States, but before implementing the Ujjwala Scheme, each State will be asked for an updated BPL list. <br/><br/>According to 2011 Socio Economic and Caste Census, Odisha has 58 lakh families under the category of Deprived section. <br/><br/>In the current budget, the Centre has earmarked 8,000 crore rupees for LPG connections to BPL households. <br/>The Scheme provides a financial support of 1,600 rupees for LPG connection to each BPL household.<br/><br/><br/>
