Various State governments have called for a thorough review of Right to Education Act, for the Out of School Children's re-engagement in education system. A two-day consultation organised by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, NCPCR with the representatives of all State and Union Territories concluded in New Delhi yesterday.<br/><br/>Participants made various suggestions at the meet that include identification of Out of School Children through Child Welfare Committees, suggestions on Child Help Line and in context of children on railway platforms and child care institutions.<br/><br/>NCPCR Chairperson, Stuti Kacker said a capsule course will be developed for children in conflict with laws. She pointed that the nation is losing human resources as such kids often indulge in crimes, living on streets and begging. <br/><br/>Participants were also of the view that 3 to 6 year old children should be brought under the RTE Act. The Commission is in the process of drafting a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Street Children.
