State govt taking steps to realise dream of PM to double farmers' income by 2022: Karnataka CM

<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has said that the state government is taking steps to realise the dream of the Prime Minister to double farmers' income by 2022. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Virtually inaugurating the horticulture mela organised by Bagalkote horticulture university today, the Chief Minister said that new technology will be introduced with the help of CFTRI and ICAR for the value addition of agri produce, food processing, packaging and export of the produce.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He appreciated the introduction of Kisan rail and said that till now 100 Kisan rails have transported 27 thousand tonnes of agri produce across the country.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said perishable produce like pomegranate, orange and other horticulture produce are being transported through Kisan rail. </span><br />''  <br />
