State Education Boards agree to declare results of Class 12th by 31st of May

The State Education Boards have agreed to declare the results of Higher Secondary Examinations or Class 12th exam by 31st of May. The suggestion was given by the Human Resource Development, HRD, Ministry to avoid delays in counselling for admissions to centrally funded technical institutes through Joint Entrance Examination.<br/><br/>Delay in declaring results by state boards this year had led to the postponement of the counselling for admission to NITs, IITs and other centrally funded technical institutes.<br/><br/>At a meeting of over 40 all-India and state education boards, however, no decision could be reached at checking the trend of excessively high board exam scores. The HRD Ministry against, the backdrop of growing anxiety among parents and their wards about the high cut-offs year after year called the meeting.<br/><br/>
