State Assembly indicts ex-Kerala CM for favouring Son

In Kerala, the Committee constituted by the State Assembly has found that former Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan has misused his office and authority in facilitating posting to his son V A Arun Kumar as Director of Information and Communication Technology Academy. The report placed in the House today notes that earlier without enough qualification and teaching experience he also got posting and promotion in Institute of Human Resource Development, IHRD.

Addressing a press conference, Chairman of the Committee V D Satheesan said that the committee came to the conclusion after analysing 5000 page records. He said that present opposition leader V S Achuthanandan and former Education minister M A Baby gave conflicting reports before the Committee. The allegation against V A Arun Kumar was one of the main political issues during the last assembly elections in Kerala.
