The Election Commission has called a high level meeting to review the security aspect in five states which are going for assembly polls shortly. Additional Chief Electoral Officer N K Sahana told reporters in Kolkata on Thursday that the chief secretaries, home secretaries, DGPs and chief electoral officers of all the states which are going for assembly elections will be present at the meeting in NewDelhi to review the security aspects. He said, besides the chief secretaries, home secretaries and DGPs of the states which border the poll-bound ones are also summoned to prevent arms smuggling and preempt fake voters to ensure smooth and peaceful polls. When asked whether the border of states will be sealed, Sahana said, the states' border will not be sealed but there will be strong vigil to stop illegal activities.
