Starshine in Mumbai as Bollywood comes out to vote

Polling for the third and final phase for 19 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra began this morning.

Election Comission officials said, till 9 am average polling was recorded 7 per cent.

Contrary to earlier times, this time Mumbai saw a good voter turn out in the first two hours in almost all the 6 constituencies. Adjoining Thane district too witnessed fair number of voter turn out early today.

Among early voters in Mumbai were Industrialist Anil Ambani, and bollywood star Rekha, Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor, Aamir Khan,Sunil Shetty, Neha Dhupia and Rahul Bose. Prominent politicians who voted in the morning hours were NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, who voted for the first time in Mumbai and MNS chief Raj Thackeray.
