Standing Committee for Tribal Welfare of the Ministry of Tribal Welfare has been reconstituted with the Cabinet Minister as its Chairman and Minister of State as Vice Chairman. <br/><br/>The other members of the committee are Ministers of Tribal Welfare of 14 states including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, and Assam. <br/><br/>An official release said Standing Committee would deliberate and recommend agenda for discussion at National Council for Tribal Welfare to provide guidelines for improvement in lives of Scheduled Tribes community. <br/><br/>It will also review implementation of Forest Right Act, monitor implementation of Tribal Sub Plan and also monitor programme aimed at protecting vulnerable tribal groups.
