In Gujarat, at least eight women were killed at a stampede at Dhauraji town of Rajkot district this evening. Unofficial reports however put the death toll to 11. Quoting police sources our Bhuj correspondent Shailesh Vyas reports, the Moti Haveli of Vaishnavites in Dhauraji town where women in large numbers had assembled to have the darshan of Chappan Bhogutsav where stampede occurred. Several seriously injured women have been rushed to hospitals.
