In Gujarat, six persons including three women and two children have been killed in stampede at Maha-shivratri fair held at Bhavnath near Junagadh sunday night. According to reports at least 15 persons were injured in the incident.AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that the incident occurred on a narrow road stretch between Panch Naka and Damodar kund due to heave rush of the devotees. Five-day long Bhavnath fair is going on in foothills of mount Girnar.Meanwhile, the State Chief Minister Narendra Modi has ordered an inquiry into the stampede. Talking to a news agency, Mr.Modi said that Additional Chief Secretary V N Mayra will overlook the inquiry.The Chief Minister also announced an ex-gratia amount of one lakh rupees to the next of kith and kin of those six pilgrims killed in the stampede.
