In Puducherry, the stalemate over seat sharing continues among political parties, even as the deadline for filing of nominations comes to a close on Saturday. The All India NR congress today announced the first list of 11 candidates for the polls scheduled for the 13th of next month. Speaking to newsmen in Puducherry today, the Former Chief Minister Mr N.Rangaswamy said the second list of candidates to be fielded by the party will be announced shortly. Replying to a question on seat sharing talks with the AIADMK, he said, since there is time till Saturday for filing nominations, talks can continue. AIR Correspondent reports that that the AIADMK has already announced the names of the candidates for all the 30 constituencies. Chief Minister Mr. V.Vaithalingam filed his nomination papers today for the Kamraj Nagar assembly constituency, even as the congress party is yet to announce the names of the candidates to be fielded by the party. The Ruling congress has allotted 10 out of 30 seats to its principal ally, the DMK, while talks are on with the PMK. The BJP and BSP have already stated that they will be contesting in all the 30 seats in the union territory.
