Stalemate over leadership change in Karnataka continues

There has been no solution in sight yet to break the stalemate over leadership change issue in Karnataka.

BJP General Secretary Dharmendra Pradhan held series of discussion with members representing both the factions. After the meetings Pradhan said he is hopeful of early solution to the ongoing crisis in Karnataka BJP.

Chief Minister Sadanand Gowda reacted that central leaders will find a solution to the problem and he will act according to their directions.

The Medical education minister S A Ramdass said that Pradhan will gather the opinion of both the factions about leadership change and cabinet expansion and present his view to the BJP party Parliamentary Board.

Earlier in the day the Chief Minister met Governor H R Bharadwaj carrying a resolution of the cabinet to call Assembly session from July 16 for passing the full budget.

Meanwhile a Congress delegation met the Governor to seek his intervention to dissolve the assembly allegedly because the Government is not functioning in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution.
