Stalemate continues over government formation in Jharkhand after Wednesday's fractured mandate. With no single party or alliance in a position to muster majority in the 81 member assembly, JMM chief Shibu Soren said that his party be allowed to form the government. With 18 seats in its kitty, JMM emerged as the single largest party. Union Minister and Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay on the other hand claimed that Congress-JVM(P) combination with 25 seats should be allowed to form the next government in order to provide stability. Meanwhile, BJP says it has not yet taken a final decision on the present political situation in the state.
