In Nepal,the stalemate continues as political parties are yet to come with a consensual candidate for Prime Minister. UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Puspha Kamal Dahal on Monday predicted that that the next government will be a majority lead by the Party Vice Chairman Baburam Bhattarai. He, however, claimed that the parties are inching closer to completing the peace process. The Standing Committee of the CPN-UML which met on Monday decide to continue to strive for consensus government .The party which has 107 members in the 601 assembly will be crucial if there is a majority government. The President had extended the deadline on Sunday day for selecting a consensual candidate till Wednesday at the request of the political parties. If the parties fail to select a candidate, there will be voting in Parliament. The Nepali Congress and the UCPN(Maoist) both have been saying that their candidate will lead the government .
