Stalemate continues in Karnataka over Cabinet expansion. The process remained deadlocked on Sunday as the two factions of the BJP thrashed out differences over sharing key portfolios and creation of the post of deputy Chief Minister. BJP Karnataka in-charge, Dharmendra Pradhan held a meeting of senior leaders of both the factions at Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda’s official residence yesterday evening. State Party President K S Eshwarappa, R Ashoka, V S Acharya and BJP organising secretary Sateesh were present in the meeting. The BJP sources said that the leaders will hold another round of talks today. However earlier in the day yesterday, State Party President Eshwarappa had told reporters that except for creation of deputy chief minister’s post, all issues have been sorted out. There are 33 berths remaining to be filled, after the swearing-in of the Chief Minister Sadanand Gowda who took oath on the 3rd of this month.
