Stalemate continues in Andhra Assembly over Telengana issue

Stalemate continues in Andhra Pradesh state Assembly over Telengana statehood issue. The Assembly could not take up any listed business even today as members belonging to Telengana Rashtra samithi, CPI and Telengana Congress and TDP members stalled the proceedings. Waiving placards and raising slogans on the issue, the agitating members brought the proceedings in the house to a standstill. The repeated appeals by Deputy speaker Nadendla Manohar for cooperation of members to put the house in order fell on deaf ears. As a result, the deputy speaker initially adjourned the house twice for short period and when there was no let-up in the situation, he adjourned the house for Monday
