The Stalemate continues between DMK and Congress over seat sharing for Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. DMK Chief M. Karunanidhi told reporters in Chennai last night that no one from Congress has approached him for further consultations over the issue. DMK on Saturday decided to withdraw its ministers from the Union Council of Ministers. The DMK leaders M.K.Alagiri, Dayanidhi Maran, D.Napolean, S. Jagathrakshakan and S.S.Palanimanickam left Chennai for New Delhi this moring. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has extended his party's unconditional support to the Congress- led UPA government at the centre. He told reporters in Lucknow that DMK and Congress would be able to sort out their differences amicably. Biju Janata Dal has also indicated that it could consider any proposal for supporting the UPA government at the centre. Senior BJD leader and Rajya Sabha MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra said in Bhubaneshwar that if any proposal for support comes, the party will discuss among themselves.
