In Uttar Pradesh, the stage is set for fourth Phase of the Assembly elections on Sunday. Polling will take place from 7 am to five pm.AIR correspondent reports 967 candidates, including 91 women, are in the fray for this phase. More than 18,600 polling stations are being set up for over 1.74 crore voters.The districts going to polls are Lucknow, Hardoi, Banda, Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli, Farrukhabad, Unnao, Chitrakoot, Chhatrapati Sahuji Nagar and Kannauj.Elaborate Security arrangements have been made for free, fair and peaceful polling. Extra security precautions have been taken in sensitive areas of Chitrakoot, Banda, Pratapgarh and Lucknow.About 760 companies of both Central Para Military Force and Provincial Armed Constabulary along with police personnel from other states have been deployed. Inter-state border with Madhya Pradesh with Chitrakoot and Banda would be sealed from this evening to prevent entry of anti-social elements.The ruling BSP, Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party and the Samajwadi Party have fielded their candidates in most of the constituencies.
