In West Bengal, the stage is set for the third phase of Assembly Elections tomorrow. The elections will take place in 75 seats spreading over Kolkatta, North and South 24 Pargana districts. The arrangments for holding the elections are almost completed. Poll personnel have already left for their destinations. Some polling parties have reached the far flung polling booths in Sagar Islands. Over 1 crore, forty-four lakh, fifty five thousand voters will decide the political fate of 479 candidates. More than 17,700 polling booths have been set up in three districts. 50 general oberservers, 11 expenditure and 2 police observers are constantly monitoring the poll process. The full Election Commission will visit West Bengal on 28th of this month, a day after the third phase of voting to review the poll preparedness for the remaining three phases.
