Stage set for Maritime India Summit in Mumbai

The stage is set for the first ever Maritime India Summit in Mumbai to unveil vast investment opportunities in the Indian Maritime Sector. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be formally launching the three-day Summit and exhibition tomorrow.<br/><br/> About 200 global maritime companies from 40 countries with South Korea as the Partner Country are expected to take part in the summit being organised by the Ministry of Shipping aimed at attracting potential investors across the globe to invest in various components of the Indian Maritime Sector.<br/><br/> Memoranda of Understanding over investments worth to a tune of nearly 2 lakh crore rupees are expected to be signed between various agencies during the Summit. The Government also will sign an MoU with South Korea for development Shipping Infrastructure Development.
