Stage set for final phase of polling in Bihar on Thursday

After the conclusion of the fourth phase of Bihar assembly election poll yesterday, stage is all set to go for the fifth and final phase of polling on Thursday. Altogether 57 seats will be going to polls in the concluding phase. Out of nine districts going to poll in fifth phase, Kishanganj with four assembly seats played an important role in Bihar's politics.<br/><br/>Infrastructure development, employment opportunities and problems related to farmers are key issues in fifth and final phase of polling. Talking to AIR in Darbhanga, Youth voters emphasised on employment oriented education. Common Voter were of the view that Paper mill and Sugar mills in Darbhanga should be revived so that local people get employment opportunity. They also said Agro- based industries should be set up in the area.Women voters said price of essential commodities should be under control. While farmers wanted proper irrigation facility and flood safety measures should be created. <br/><br/>Ten lakh voters of Kishanganj will decide the political fate of 60 candidates on 5th of November in the final phase of the polling in Bihar. Consisting of four assembly seats the main fight is between NDA and Grand Alliance. In Kishanganj sitting MLA of congress Mohammad Javed is struggling against BJP's Sweetie Singh. They are facing a tough fight due to rebellion candidates in the fray from their respective camps. In Kochaa-dhaman constituency JDU MLA Mujahid Alam, Akhatarul Rahman of AIMIM and Abdur Rahman of BJP are main contenders. Naushad Alam of JDU and Gopal Agrawal of Lok Janshakti Party trying their luck from Thakurganj. BLP's Awadh Bihari gives a tough fight to sitting congress MLA Mohammad Touseef Alam from Bahadurganj. Presence of All India Majlis e Ittehadul Musalmein- AlMIM in this region gives an interesting twist to the final phase of polling.
