In Uttar Pradesh, the stage is set for peaceful conduct of fifth phase of polling tomorrow in 49 constituencies spread over 13 districts of Bundelkhand and western regions. Over one Crore 53 Lakh voters will decide the fate of 829 candidates including 87 females in this phase. The ruling BSP, BJP and Samajwadi party are contesting on all 49 seats while the Congress has left Tundla seat for its poll ally Rashtriya Lokdal. Newly emerged Bundelkhand Congress has fielded 13 candidates in Bundelkhand region. Its President actor-turned politician Raja Bundela is fighting from Jhansi Nagar.According to election officials over 16 thousand seven hundred polling booths are being set up. Additional paramilitary force will be deployed in sensitive and hyper-sensitive polling booths.Several political heavyweights including BJP leaders Uma Bharati, Premlata Katiyar and Sachchidanand Hari Sakshi Mahraj, Leader of opposition in Vidhansabha Shivpal Singh Yadav, Congress vice President Ranjit Singh Judev, and Minister in Mayawati cabinet Jaivir Singh and expelled minister Badshah Singh are contesting in this phase.AIR correspondent says that a multi-corner fight on almost each constituency is evident as several like-minded parties are out to split the vote between them. Meanwhile, the electioneering for sixth and seventh phase has also reached at its peak in 128 seats of western and some terai districts.
