In Karnataka, by poll to Koppal assembly constituency is being held today. 14 candidates including BJP nominee Karadi Sanganna, Congress candidate Basavaraj Hitnal, Pradeep Patil of Janatha Dal(S) are in the fray. The by poll was necessitated following the resignation of by Karadi Sanganna, who had won the seat on JD(S) ticket but later defected to BJP. Counting will take place on September 29.
