An all-party meeting on the Lokpal Bill will be held in New Delhi on Sunday to take all views on board to make a strong the Anti-Corruption Law. Centre is committed to make such a law and bring the proposed Bill in the Monsoon Session of Parliament.Civil society activist Mr. Anna Hazare, who was part of the drafting committee, will meet UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi today evening to explain his views on the Lokpal Bill. The meeting is part of the process Mr. Hazare's campaign to convince all the parties and social activists about the importance of the draft bill submitted by their group to the Government. The National Democratic Alliance led by the BJP is also meeting in New Delhi this evening under the chairmanship of Mr. L K Advani. The meeting is expected to take a final call and participate in Saturday’s all-party meet.While the BJP has not made its stand on the Lokpal issue clear, the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has asserted that his Cabinet colleagues are not in favour of bringing Prime Minister's office and the higher judiciary under its purview.
