The stage is set for the 19th International Children's Film Festival of India (ICFFI) in Hyderabad. The Children's Film Society of India (CFSI) jointly with the Telangana State Government is organizing the week-long festival. The CFSI in-house production, " Happy Mother's Day" will kick-start the Golden Elephant, as it is popularly known this evening in Hyderabad. According to CFSI Chairman Mukesh Khanna and CEO Shravan Kumar, nearly 300 films selected from a record number of over 1200 films from 80 countries will be screened at 12 theaters in Hyderabad during the week-long festival. <br/><br/>Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore will inaugurate the festival at a gala event to be held at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad. Nearly 20 awards will be presented to the best films in various categories like Little Directors, International Animation, International Live Action and Asian Panorama. Besides screening films, orientation workshops, seminars, script writing workshops and activities will also be organized to involve children in making films for them. While nearly 5000 delegates enrolled, about 5 lakh children will be taking part in the festival.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, festive atmosphere overwhelmed with Gajju, the Golden Elephant arriving in the city of pearls. The city has been beautifully decorated with balloons, cut-outs and danglers at all major junctions and near screening theaters and education and government entities. Receiving a record number of films from a maximum number of countries, theme Digital India, reaching out to districts is marking the 19th edition of the festival.
