The stage is all set for the launch of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, PSLV-C16, from Sriharikota at 10.12 am today. Three satellites including India’s latest remote sensing satellite Resourcesat-2, an Indo-Russian satellite called Youthsat and a micro-satellite named X-Sat from the Nangyang Technological University of Singapore will be put into an 822 km polar Sun Synchronous Orbit. Speaking to AIR, Director, Public Relations, ISRO, S. Satish said that all operations are progressing smoothly. This is the eighteenth mission of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle and the eleventh flight that employs standard configuration.
