SSB to get seven women companies to check crime on Bhutan & Nepal borders

Sashastra Seema Bal, SSB, has become the first border guarding force accommodating women in combat mode. Addressing the SSB contingent on its 46th anniversary in New Delhi today, the Union Home Minister Mr.P. Chidambaram said that SSB has been sanctioned seven women companies to check crime on the borders of Bhutan and Nepal. Lauding the efforts of SSB in safeguarding the open boundaries of both the countries , Mr. Chidambaram said that the modern wars can not be fought by army alone.
