SRK banned from Wankhede entry for 5 yrs: IPL Chief says BCCI makes final decision

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has taken a decision to impose a ban of 5 years on actor Shahrukh Khan from entering Wankhede stadium for his alleged misbehavior at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday night.

Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Union Minister for Science and Technology and President of Mumbai Cricket Assocation Vilasrao Deshmukh said that the 5 year ban will be applicable to all matches being played on Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium for the next five years.

An urgent committee meeting of all members of the Mumbai Cricket Association was called today to take a decision on imposing a ban on the actor.

On the other hand, IPL Chief Rajiv Shukla has said that the final decision on the ban will be taken by the BCCI. He was talking to reporters in New Delhi today.

On Wednesday after security guard Vikas Dalvi of the Mumbai Cricket Association filed a complaint against the actor at marine drive Police station alleging that the actor had manhandled him.

Shahrukh Khan had defended his action alleging that he was not under the influence of alcohol, and his action was in retaliation to MCA officials allegedly manhandling his children after the match between Kolktata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians ended.
