In Kerala, kin of Justice K G Balakrishnan, Mr. Srinijan has resigned from Youth Congress as demanded by the party following a number of corruption charges against the son in law of former Chief Justice of India. As ordered by Kerala Chief Minister, a vigilance enquiry against Srinijan is already in place for amassing huge assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Meanwhile, Thrissur vigilance court has accepted a petition against Justice K G Balakrishnan, his brother K G Bhaskaran and Srinijan. The case has been posted for hearing on the 18th of this month. A number of fresh allegations of corruption are being made against the close relatives of Justice Balakrishnan.
