In Jammu &amp; Kashmir, amid a fresh spell of rainfall in the plains and moderate snowfall in higher reaches, the Srinagar Jammu National highway has been closed for fresh vehicular traffic today. Traffic Officials said that in view of snowfall on both sides of Jawahar Tunnel at Shaitan Nallah, Banihal, Qazigund yesterday, the vehicular traffic from Jammu towards Srinagar was stopped for the safety of travellers. They said over 1500 passenger and load carrier vehicles were stranded at Chanderkot, Ramban and Ramsoo stretch along the highway.<br />'' <br />''They said that no fresh traffic will is being allowed today from either side of the national highway owing to fresh snowfall on both sides of the Jawahar Tunnel. They said subject to fair weather and road condition only stranded vehicles will be allowed to reach their destination. The minimum temperature last night in Srinagar city recorded 0.1, Pahalgam 1.5 and Gulmarg minus 9.5 degree Celsius temperature. Leh town recorded minus 8.9 and Kargil minus 9.3 degree Celsius as the lowest temperatures on last night.&nbsp; At minus 9.3, Kargil was the coldest town in the state.</span><br />
