Even though weather in Kashmir Valley has improved and there has been no fresh snow or rain today, the traffic on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remained suspended for the fifth day. Border Roads Organization has cleared the landslides and snow from the highway but due to slippery road condition between Jawahar Tunnel and Qazigund and also avalanche warning by the Disaster Management Cell, traffic on the highway could not be restored so far. IGP, Traffic, Mohammad Amin Shah today visited the highway to take stock of the situation and also efforts to resume traffic on the highway, the only road link Kashmir Valley has with rest of the country.
