SriLanka: British journalist killed by crocodile in lagoon in eastern province

In Sri Lanka, a British journalist died after being attacked by a crocodile in a lagoon in eastern province. Paul McClean, a Financial Times journalist was dragged into a river near Arugam Bay when he was washing his hands while taking part in a surfing lesson.<br/><br/>He was on holiday with his friends in Sri Lanka and his body was recovered today. People in the vicinity said that it is the first-known crocodile attack in Sri Lanka and that crocodiles don't usually venture so close to the beach because the salt water turns them blind.
