Srikrishna Committee’s report on Andhra to be submitted by end of this month

Justice Srikrishna Committee’s report will not be a mere commentary over the socio economic condition of different regions of Andhra Pradesh. Chairman of the five-member committee, Justice Srikrishna has told this to reporters in Hyderabad on Thursday. Addressing a press conference along with four other members, Justice Srikrishna said the report is almost ready and would be submitted to the Government before the end of the month. He said the committee has reflected its views, analysis and observations in the report after holding consultations with every section and understanding various aspects of socio economic and cultural nuances of regions for the past 10 months. Thanking for the cooperation extended to the committee, Justice Srikrishna has appealed to media, political parties and one and all to maintain peace and tranquility especially after 31st of this month. Stating that the interest of the state is superior to that of the media and a political party, he appealed to observe restraint and extend greater cooperation. He also said all political parties have assured the committee on maintaining tranquility after submission of the report irrespective of their political stands. He added that the committee has been appealing for maintaining peace, as there were incidents of violence earlier on a mere statement.
