In Badminton Men's Single's French Open, Srikanth Kidambi of India defeated Taiwan's Chou Tien-chen at the Adidas Arena in Paris today. Srikanth, currently ranked 24th in the BWF rankings clinched victory by scoreline of 21-15, 20-22, 21-8 and enters pre-quarter finals.

Srikanth Kidambi who is looking to qualify for the Paris Olympics will next face China's Lu Guangzu tomorrow in the second round.

In the Women's Single's French Open, PV Sindhu enters pre-quarter finals after defeating Michelle Li of Canada today. World number 11 Sindhu won the decider round 21-19.
