In the Men's Singles opening round today, top seed Srikanth defeated Shreyash Jaiswal, 21-14, 21-13, while third placed Kashyap beat Subhankar Dey, 21-11, 22-20. HS Prannoy, RMV Gurusaidutt, Ajay Jayaram and Sourabh Verma have also booked a place in the second round. Top seed in the Women's Singles, Saina Nehwal, and PV Sindhu are yet to play their opening round matches today.
