Srikanth, Jayaram move up in BWF ranking

K Srikanth and Ajay Jayaram moved up the ladder while Saina Nehwal and P V Sindhu maintained their positions in the latest Badminton World Federation, BWF, World ranking released today. Despite losing in the opening round of the Malaysia Open Srikanth improved a place to reach the 13th spot, while Jayaram surged three places to the 21st position in men's singles. Commonwealth Games champion P Kashyap, who skipped the Malaysia Open because of injury, slipped two places to be at the 20th spot. Swiss Open winner H S Prannoy slipped a place to 23rd. In the women's singles ranking, Saina Nehwal and P V Sindhu maintained their positions at World No. 8 and World No. 10.Indian men's doubles pair of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy sunk a place to at 20th position, while Commonwealth Games silver medallist women's doubles duo of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa remained at 15th spot.
