In Karnataka, controversial chief of Sri Ram Sene, Pramod Muthalik has decided to contest Lok Sabha polls as independent against BJP state Party Chief Prahlad Joshi from Dharwad.

He made the announcement in Hubli yesterday after cancellation of his membership by BJP within hours after his admission in to the party on Sunday following attack from within the party and its opponents. Describing the cancellation as humiliation heaped on him, Muttalik said he will file his nomination today.
