Sri Lanka’s public broadcaster Rupa Vahini Corporation celebrated its 41st anniversary yesterday. The corporation provides educational, informative, current affairs and entertainment programmes for Sri Lankan viewers. Speaking to a local newspaper in Sri Lanka, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation W. B. Ganegala mentioned the vision for the corporation going ahead.<br />”<br />”He highlighted the difficulties faced by the corporation to run the operations due to the economic crisis. He said that the aim at this juncture is to increase the revenue and cut down the unnecessary expenditure while giving the viewers top quality entertainment. He added that the corporation is very mindful of Tamil viewership and wants to cater to that Tamil speaking segment as well through Netra TV.&nbsp;<br />
