Sri Lanka's Headline inflation drops to 54.2 percent in January

<span style="color: #222222;">In Sri Lanka, Headline inflation in Colombo dropped to 54.2 percent for the month of January. The inflation measured by Colombo Consumer Price Index decreased by 3 percentage points from 57.2 percent in December 2022. According to the Census and Statistics department Food inflation has also decreased by over 3 percentage points to 60.1% in January 2023 against the previous month. Inflation in Sri Lanka is measured separately for Colombo using CCPI and for the entire island using National Consumer Price Index (NCPI).<br />''<br />''The inflation as measured by NCPI for December 2022 was 59.2 per cent.</span><br />
