Sri Lanka's Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake today accused the Auditor General of releasing a confidential report on alleged bond scam without his knowledge. Participating in a discussion on the issue in parliament, the minister proposed that the Attorney General has acted unprofessionally and unofficially without due care of public duties. <br/><br/>The Finance Minister told Parliament that by sending a copy to Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE), the Auditor General has breached the information confidentiality requirement and relevant procedure. He said the leakage of this information will adversely effect the government security market operations and interest rates in the economy and will raise the cost of borrowings.<br/><br/>His comments came as President Maithripala Sirisena announced a commission to investigate and recommend actions for the Central Bank's controversial Treasury Bond issue. Former governor of the Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran, considered close to United National party (UNP) is the main accused in the scam. <br/><br/>UNP, to whom finance minister belongs, is facing opposition on the issue from its partner SLFP in national unity government
