Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has hinted at an early Presidential election, ahead of the Parliamentary polls. AIR correspondent reports that Rajapaksa said party workers and leaders will be taken into confidence while deciding on the polls dates.<br/>Meanwhile, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee met Mr. Rajapaksa hours before Mahinda Rajapaksa addressed his party convention. Mr. Mukherjee is believed to have discussed the early settlement of war displaced Tamil civilians with the Sri Lankan President.<br/>
