Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa will leave on a four day visit to China tomorrow. A press statement by the Sri Lankan Presidential Division said that ‘During his four-day visit to Beijing and Shenzhen, President Mahinda Rajapaksa will meet with Chinese Presiednt Hu Jintao, Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and attend the opening ceremony of the Universiade in Shenzhen’. Presidential Spokesman Bandula Jayasekara said the invitation was on an invitation extended by the Chinese President Hu Jintao, when the two met on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum last June. This will be Sri Lankan President’s second visit to China in the last less than one year.
