Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be on his first official visit to India beginning on Tuesday evening after being re-elected for the second term in January. This is also his first visit after the end of the war last year in May. The three day visit by Rajapaksa comes against the backdrop of concerns over the re-settlement of nearly three lakh civilians in the immediate context and a political solution to the ethnic conflict in the longer term.<br/>
