Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has been acquitted in a court case today as a result of the Presidential immunity he enjoys. <br />''<br />''The Permanent Special High Court ordered the release of Gotabaya, who was accused of misappropriating Government funds for the construction of the D.A. Rajapaksa museum when he was defence secretary. <br />''<br />''The court also ordered that President Rajapaksa's passport be released. The special high courts were constituted last year to have fast track hearing of such high profile cases.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, six new governors were sworn-in before the President today morning. These appointments came after the Presidential Secretariat informed the former governors to step down from their positions yesterday. President will also appoint his brother and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa as new Prime minister later today.</span><br />
