It further stated that the agreement will only be signed after obtaining the views of all relevant parties and debating it in the Parliament.<br />''<br />''Several MPs visited Kashyapa Thera during his protest fast, including MP Bandula Gunawardena, who presented a letter from SLPP Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa.<br />''<br />''Mr Rajapaksa requested Kashyapa Thera to end his protest fast stating that he would make sure to revoke the agreements that are signed by the government with foreign countries, from the time the Presidential election was announced until its results are released, if they are contrary to national interests.<br />''<br />''MCC was cleared by Cabinet last week and Prime Minister earlier said that it will be signed before the elections scheduled next Saturday.<br />''<br />''The agreement entails grant of 480 million US dollars for the development of transport, traffic and land management in Sri Lanka.</span><br />
