Sri Lankan Navy rescue 7 Indian crew members of cargo ship which bound to Maldives

Sri Lankan Navy has said, it rescued seven Indian crew members of a cargo ship which was bound to Maldives.<br/><br/>Navy spokesman Lankana Dissanayake told AIR correspondent that the cargo ship named 'Maria Irudiyam' was sailing from Tuticorin to Maldives when it encountered a problem last night. He said, the crew members were rescued initially by a Sri Lankan fishing boat 65 nautical miles off the Galle coast in Sri Lanka and handed over to Navy.<br/><br/>The spokesman said, a Sri Lankan navy vessel was deployed and the crew have been brought safely to Galle today morning. They will be handed over to Indian High Commission in Colombo later in the day for repatriation back home.
