Sri Lankan Navy has arrested three Indian fishermen along with a boat northwest of Delft Island last night on charges of poaching into their waters. A navy spokesman said they will be handed over to fisheries department for further legal action. With this, the total number of Indian fishermen in Sri Lankan custody has gone up to 92.<br/><br/>However, process is on to release most of the fishermen in coming days. Sri Lanka has been releasing Indian fishermen from time to time on humanitarian grounds. <br/><br/>Sri Lanka has not been releasing boats during last two years but has agreed to release 42 of around 150 boats in its custody, process for which are being worked out. Fishing issue has been a lingering problem between the two countries and both sides have formed a Joint Working Group to discuss the issue.
