Sri Lankan Navy arrests 4 Indian fishermen

Sri Lankan Navy has arrested 4 Indian fishermen and a trawler on Friday on charges of poaching in Sri Lankan waters south of Mannar. <br/><br/>A statement issued by Sri Lankan Navy said the fishermen have been handed over to the officials of the Fisheries Department in Mannar for further legal action. With these arrests, the number of Indian fishermen in Sri Lankan custody has gone up to 77.<br/><br/>India and Sri lanka have been trying to resolve the fishermen issue and various options have been mooted. Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that a solution will be reached by the end of this month.
