Sri Lankan Judge Shooting: Policeman dies of injuries he sustained last evening

In Sri Lanka, a policeman died today of injuries he sustained last evening when Jaffna High Court judge M. Ilancheliyan was shot at by an unidentified person last evening. Another policeman was also injured in the shooting. <br/><br/>Two gunmen, who came on a motorcycle, had grabbed a pistol of one of the two Policemen, who were providing security to the judge's vehicle, and fired at the policeman and the judge vehicle. <br/><br/>The judge remained unharmed following the shooting but both the police officers had sustained injuries. Jaffna Police is investigating the incident as the gunmen had escaped.
